Step 5: Virgin Hot Mix Applied and Laid 

The Finishing Screed receives the new hot mix from the drag slat conveyor. The new hot mix overlay is applied immediately to achieve the thermal bond between the recycled layer and the new overlay. 

 

The 4-section vibratory paving screed lays the specified wearing course over the recycled layer.
