Cutler's History
Cutler Repaving Inc., founded in 1965 by Earl F. Cutler outside of Chicago, has been an innovator and world leader in hot in-place recycling (HIR) for the last 60 years. In 1968 Mr. Cutler relocated the company to its present location in Lawrence, KS. He remained the sole owner of the company until 1989 when he sold the company to the current owner, Charles R. Veskerna.
Our Legacy
In the course of our history Cutler Repaving has successfully completed over 38,425 lane miles of hot in-place recycled pavement for city, county, and state DOTs throughout the United States.
The company is both a manufacturer and contractor performing hot in-place recycling in nine states -- Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, New Mexico, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah. Our customers in these states include city, county, and state DOTs. Cutler is pre-qualified to bid on work in all nine states.
While Cutler Repaving’s core business remains contract repaving in the nine state markets, the company has manufactured and sold 40 Repavers internationally in Mexico, Norway, and Sweden since 1997 and continues to market its recycling equipment throughout the world.
As a worldwide leader and innovator of hot in-place recycling, Cutler is uniquely qualified to operate and maintain its fleet of 10 contract Repaving spreads throughout its current nine state area. We are North America’s oldest and most experienced recycling contractor.
